19.11.2021 | Tiina and Julie feel that Efima has a safe and encouraging environment where trying new things and doing things in their own way is possible.

Efima's energetic duo, Tiina Kaskinen (left) and Julie Gråberg (right), both confess to being morning people. Tiina describes that hear days begin with a half-hour walk, during which thoughts clear up for the working day. Julie's early mornings, on the other hand, are punctuated by the routine of producing texts picked up from a writing course – three pages of text contain, in addition to rambling thoughts, often also solutions to the day's work challenges.

Both are going through a good phase in terms of work. There is a decent amount of work and the feeling of control is maintained, even though there is a lot to do from time to time. The hectic rhythm of one day is smoothed out by the next day's focusing time, when you can think and plan work again at a calmer pace. Sometimes it's hard to be in a hurry, but it doesn't always bother Julie, because hurry sometimes also brings efficiency. From Tiina's experience, being busy is sometimes a matter of attitude and prioritization helps to control it.

On a growth path

The nature of the work requires a lot of presence: "I am in a service profession and my job is to help my teammates and colleagues to succeed", says Tiina, but at the same time feels that the absolute best part of the job is the people. "The current job suits me very well," she continues. The expert who came to Efima in 2012 first changed to a consultant and finally to her current job in 2019, and has been happy that she was able to change roles within Efima: "I had never thought of myself as a team leader, but my colleagues finally convinced me", Tiina smiles.

Julie's career path has similar elements – the expert who came to the house in 2018 received a lot of support from her colleagues to build her career, and in 2020 she started in her current role as service manager. "I enjoy the versatile job description, where I get responsibility, dealing with both people and then doing work that requires concentration, for example with customer analyses," says Julie and states that the transition to a new job and familiarization with customers went well.

Both Julie and Tiina strongly believe that the best thing about working at Efima is that you get to do things your own way, and since the environment is encouraging and safe, you can also test new ways of doing things. Efima gives you the opportunity to grow as a person and from one role to another.

Tiina hopes to continue her career with meaningful work, role or position is not important. "What you would like to add to this kind of neat interior work is a suitable physical effort, so that the mental and physical sides are in balance", laughs Tiina. If Tiina could give advice to her twenty-something self, she would say that you should never say no to yourself, and you shouldn't plan your career too carefully in advance. "Don't aim for anything, just let opportunities take you there", is Tiina's motto.

Julie continues to embrace her new role with satisfaction and enthusiasm. She would advice her younger self not to be afraid or nervous, "because all problems can be solved – and doing things systematically will bring good results before long".

Nature is for recharging

Julie, originally from Helsinki, enjoys yoga, jogging and writing, and with her partner enjoys the green scenery of Espoo's central park and the large forest, where you can even "disappear".

Tiina, who comes from Kaarina, lives with her family of four in Kivistö, Vantaa, and as an old soccer player, she is excited to participate in her son's soccer training. "My daughter chose gymnastics," says Tiina with understanding. You can also hang out outside through the hobby of golf.

Tiina's and Julie's hobbies show a desire to recharge batteries in nature or in their own silence – although both are happy and service-minded in their work, as they get older, the need for their own time has become clear as a counterbalance to work or a busy family life.
