02.02.2016 | Efima has for some time already focused its charity to the Single Parents’ Association in Finland. Our particular focus has been the socalled “Buddies for kids” activity, where grown-up men befriend single mothers’ children who have no connection to their own father or other men.
At the end of last year Efima donated 4000 euros. Our special wish was that the money would be used to support the national “Buddies” event, taking place in Tampere in June. More than 50 buddy-kid couples are expected to participate.
The association has just published a publication where male buddies, kids as well as mothers describe the activity and its importance in their lives. Some relationships have lasted for years already. The stories are interesting, delightful, touching even. You can read the publication (in Finnish) here.
